When did I start?

I decided to take music seriously in 2021, when I was 16. I started uploading my songs as acoustic demos to YouTube, and I steadily grew a following since then. In August of 2022, I ventured into a recording studio, ready to record my first fully-arranged single, “I Can Hear the Flowers Laugh,” released early in October of that year.

Behind My Brand and Lyricism?

My lyricism often revolves around life’s imperfections and how we choose to escape or accept them. I like writing about various topics, with each unique song harboring in common my unapologetic candor and empathetic touch towards whatever premise I explore. Our flaws are where we can learn most about ourselves and truly test the toughness of our spirit! I like being a guide for people during those uncomfortable yet trivial moments using my often illustrative, intricate, and storytelling songwriting.

Whether it means to stomach bitter truths, traversing complexities of human connection, finding one’s footing, or unearthing the nasty bile from the underbelly of our society—that’s still left untreated—I believe it’s my civil duty as an artist, as a musician, to help stand with people through their most convoluted circumstances, and set them on the right track.

Behind My Music’s Production

I produce/compose and oversee all of the instrumentation on my tracks! I’m one for experimentation, and am always looking for ways to break the mold, evolve, and revolutionize my sound. I like blending different sonic qualities, such as electronic, folk, and orchestral elements. From old-school rock songs to metal ballads, all the way to even some folk-bordering tunes, I’m not afraid to go for what my soul calls for within a particular song; Sometimes, I take a detour into genres like dark ambient and soundscapes.

I see my music as a kind of tapestry I sew on silence, filled with different fabrics and textures, intertwined.

When it comes to instrumentalism, I’ve been playing guitar for about ten years now. I’m primarily a vocalist and guitarist, developing my compositions through those musical parts first. Likewise, my secondary instruments are bass guitar as well as the mandolin, which I exercise very commonly. My tertiary is piano, which the knowledge of I utilize in synth arrangements.

In addition, I also play various folk instruments, such as the ukulele, the concertina accordion, the kalimba, and some miscellaneous percussion pieces to boot. All of this, I hope to include more of in my future compositions.

In the recording studio, I practice being open-minded and collaborative. I’m always open to musicians working alongside me to chime in and add their spin on things, encouraging their unique style and skill!

What’s Binaural Rock? What’s Binaural Audio?

Binaural recording or panning is a technique that creates a 3D stereo sound sensation, as if the music is being played all around you in real life/time. It’s a technique I started implementing in my mixes, engineering it myself!

Binaural Rock is a blend of punk rock roots and this technical feature. Although some binaural elements were and are used to some degree in other tracks, and traditional stereo formats overall, my mixes take it a step further. Multiple instruments/sounds take center stage, moving in a 3D-like way and often in unique patterns, further reeling in the listener and creating a more interactive atmosphere.

Although bold and unpredictable, binaural audio is a game-changing tool that spices up any track. And it’s a risk and a leap I’m willing to take and keep learning about!

Plans, Future Goals, and Extra Facts

I like being very hands-on with every part of the creative process. I edit my video content and illustrate and edit most of my music’s artwork myself. I’m a very confident user of Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, and, of course, Logic Pro!

Overall, I’m going to keep working on pushing out new music and revisiting some of my older songs by rerecording and remixing them in the Binaural Rock style!
